Terms of Service
Last updated October 9, 2026. This is a draft and may change before Barki Social's public launch.
These terms are an agreement between you and Barki Social. By creating an account or using Barki Social you agree to them.
Who can use Barki Social
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You're responsible for your account, including anything posted from it and from any business page you manage.
- Give accurate information, especially on business pages: your business name, services, prices and service area.
Your content
You own the photos, videos and text you post. You give Barki Social a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, reproduce and distribute that content so the service works, for example showing your post in feeds and on your profile. This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others have reshared or that we must keep for legal reasons.
Only post content you have the right to post. If you post a client's dog, make sure the owner is comfortable with that.
Pros, businesses and bookings
Barki Social helps people find and connect with dog professionals. We are not a party to any service, booking or payment between owners and pros. Booking links go to the pro's own tools. Pros are responsible for their licenses, insurance, pricing and the services they provide. A "verified" badge means we reviewed details the pro gave us. It is not a guarantee of quality or safety.
Sponsored posts
Businesses can buy sponsored placements for their own posts. Budgets are paid up front through our payment provider, Stripe. Spend is charged per 1,000 views at the price shown when you create the campaign, and any unspent budget is refunded to the original payment method when the campaign ends. We review every campaign and may decline or stop one that breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines; a declined campaign is refunded in full. Sponsored posts are always labeled, and targeting only uses the city, region and interests people chose on their profiles.
Reviews
Reviews must reflect your own genuine experience. Don't review your own business, a competitor, or in exchange for payment or discounts.
Rules
Follow our Community Guidelines. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break them or these terms.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your profiles, pages, posts, comments, messages and reviews.
Disclaimers
Barki Social is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the conduct of other users or the services pros provide.
Changes
We'll tell you in the app before material changes to these terms take effect.
